The Heart of the Matter…
When I sat to write a blog for this new business, selling fabric face masks my first response was “no!” What do I have to share that anyone would want to hear? But then deep in my being I heard her voice… “Mommy it is now time for you to fly.”
“Mommy it is time for you to fly.”
Her voice. The voice of my daughter. Kelsey was one who was a voice for the voiceless. But before she was a voice for the voiceless; she blessed her own voice. Kelsey stood true to her own Kelseyness in the midst of many people and systems trying to tell her who she was. She stood in the midst of this constant pressure truly rooted and grounded in Love.
Though I had the honor of being her mommy, through her early years and the years of complicated illness and eventually hospice and her passing from this earth to Eternity; the voice that has been the most hidden was my own.
Through this last year and a half of grieving, of giving myself permission and space to“feel my feels;” I have slowly grown in confidence in my own unique voice.
You might be asking, “Why PPE Masks?” That is a great question. You see part of Kelsey’s voice was strength for those who had no voice. It was her dream to create a line of products that would be a comfort and resource for those of us that live in the shadows, in and out of hospitals, compromised…unseen and unheard. We had been dreaming of other offerings, but as this worldwide pandemic struck, and coupled with my relationship with Lynn (our story) we came together and put together the best possible solution to having to wear a mask (check them out). But truly, the heart of the matter has always been inspired by Kelsey. These products, coupled with financial donations to foster further research for autoimmune disease will be the beginning of her legacy.
As I too become more and more grounded in rooted in Love and step out and allow myself to shine; I hear and believe the rejoicing from heaven and earth.
So as we begin this new adventure of honoring Kelsey’s dream, and I too begin this new adventure of allowing my voice to be heard, I want to honor and encourage you to begin the adventure to discover your own unique voice. We need to hear it. We are listening.
“I want to honor and encourage you to begin the adventure to discover your own unique voice. We need to hear it.”
We’ve got you Covered.
